We manufacture our products in China and import to Australia & NZ. We consistently refine our Yurts and Domes here in WA. We are hands-on with client builds and visit our manufacturing facility often to ensure the quality of our products
Yurts: 4.5m (16sqm), 5.2m (21sqm), 6.3m (31sqm), and 8m (50sqm). Yurts above 8m require a different frame setup which we can accommodate, chat to us about your needs.
Geo Domes: 5m (20sqm), 6m (28sqm), 8m (50sqm), and 9m (63sqm) Large custom dome sizes are also available (10m / 12m / 16m etc) as well as commercial domes for exhibitions etc. Contact us for a custom quote.
Yurts and Domes are inherently strong in windy conditions due to their round shape. They can typically handle up to 100km/h winds. Domes are technically stronger than Yurts. Both Yurts and Domes disperse the wind load evenly around the structure. They are not cyclone rated however and are not warrantied against severe weather damage. But they are used all over the world in some very harsh climates and have stood the test of time.
Our Yurt and Geo Dome outer covers last 7-10 years before needing replacement (a replacement cover at that stage will cost approximately $2,000 depending on size). The frame, doors, and windows can last 15+ years with proper maintenance.
Yurts have a traditional circular design with straight walls and a cone-shaped roof. Geo Domes have a modern geodesic structure with triangular panels. Yurts offer more timeless charm with a warm timber aesthetic and a 3,000 year history. Geo Domes are more futuristic looking and feeling. Practically speaking they serve a very similar function, however for living situations Yurts can be handy with the straight walls and lattice, allowing you to easily hang pictures and hooks for pots and pans etc. It’s much more difficult to hang things in a Geo Dome with the insulated canvas inner lining. But this hard wearing lining also makes Geo Domes far easier to keep clean which is ideal for guest accommodation / Air BNB. Really it comes down to personal preference.
Yes. Both our Yurts and Domes have exterior and interior colour choices.
Yurts can be optioned with additional windows, doors, or double insulation. Placement of Yurt doors and windows is done on site at the time of assembly so no need to choose your layout now.
Domes can be optioned with extra windows but already come with all the other luxury features needed for guest accommodation. You can choose between a smart keyless entry or a standard lock, and you can also choose which position you want your door and windows (this is determined prior to manufacture unlike the yurts)
Yes definitely! Our structures are durable, well-insulated, and properly ventilated, making them ideal for year-round use in most conditions. We offer double insulation options for colder regions. Most of our customers use their yurts and domes throughout all seasons.
Yes. We have a growing client base outside Australia. We typically ship to Auckland or Christchurch for our NZ customers and then arrange final delivery from there. Contact us for more info.
We don’t offer direct financing. Some customers use personal loans to fund their purchase but most are using their own funds for a Yurt or Dome purchase. While we can provide basic quotes and product information, we don’t have specific documentation for banks like you would with a home or car loan.
Our kits include everything you need to complete your Yurt or Dome structure including frame, cover, windows, door, insulation, and all hardware needed for assembly. You’ll need to prepare a platform/foundation separately. We have decking plans available for all our sizes, just ask for your copy. Our prices also include shipping to all major ports in Australia (Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide) however your final leg delivery is not included, but can be arranged at cost or you can collect from the port warehouse.

Yes. We have some display models in Southwest, WA and a growing network of customers across Australia who can show you their setups. You may even book a night with one of our Air Bnb clients. Also check out our client videos and detailed photos. To visualize the size, use a stake and rope to mark out the diameter on your property.
8-12 weeks typically. We ship to your nearest Australian or NZ capital city port by sea freight (Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Auckland, Christchurch) and can also arrange final delivery at a cost. For urgent orders, contact us to discuss options.
Most of our customers find installation straightforward with 2 – 4 people for the smaller sizes and 4+ for the bigger sizes. The process takes 2-3 days for most clients. No specialised skills are usually required for the Yurt or Dome build itself, but the platform/foundation will need basic carpentry skills. We provide decking plans for building your platform, and we also have written and video instructions and phone support for the Yurt or Dome build. We can also provide a full build service if required with a growing network of tradies etc around the country & NZ. See our other FAQ’s for a list of general tools required.
Before you build your Yurt or Dome you’ll need a level, stable platform slightly larger than your yurt/dome diameter. Options include:
The platform must be level and adequately raised to keep the Yurt/Dome waterproof.
You will typically require the following tools for your Yurt or Geo Dome build:
You will have a more specific list inside your Yurt or Geo Dome instruction manual.
First-time installations usually take 2-3 days with 2-4 people. Experienced installers can complete it in 1-2 days. The platform/foundation is a separate project that typically takes another 2-3 days depending on complexity.
Most clients install themselves with friends or family. We provide decking plans, comprehensive guides and phone support. For the sub-frame/base, some expertise may be needed but many of our clients have also built their own decks. We can offer installation in South-West WA and have a growing network of installers across Australia & NZ we can connect you with.
Council rules for yurts and domes vary widely across Australia. Many councils classify them as temporary structures not requiring approval, but this isn’t guaranteed. We market our products as ‘glamping tents,’ but local regulations still apply based on your intended use.
Key considerations:
We recommend checking with your local council about your specific situation before purchasing.
Our structures are not BAL (Bushfire Attack Level) rated.
In bushfire-prone areas, check with local authorities about placement and restrictions. Some customers in bushfire zones use them with additional protective measures. We have also achieved full council approvals for accommodation businesses where the BAL requirements have been met through other means (access / egress etc)
Regular cleaning with mild detergent and a soft brush or broom is usually enough to keep your Yurt or Dome outer cover looking good. Inspect silicone seals around windows and doors annually and especially before winter. Replace if necessary. Sand and varnish wooden doors and window strips every 2-3 years (Yurts only). Inspect nuts / bolts / fixings and lubricate hinges. We have maintenance tips in our assembly guides provided with purchase.
Yes. We stock all components including covers, windows, doors, and structural elements. Replacement outer covers are the most likely purchase after 7-10 years but rest assured if you want to add another Yurt door or you accidentally break a window we can assist with replacement parts.
They’re designed for most Australian & NZ conditions including high winds (up to 100km/h when properly secured), heavy rain, hail and temperature extremes. Not recommended for cyclone-prone areas during cyclone season. Snow loading capacity depends on the model. Contact us for more details.
