Our yurts and geo domes are shipped by sea freight to the nearest major Australian capital city port, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.
Shipping Timeframes
Estimated shipping time is approximately 8 to 12 weeks. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by factors outside our control, including port congestion, customs processing, weather conditions, and freight delays.
Shipping Costs
Sea freight to the nearest capital city port is included in the purchase price.
Collection or Final Delivery
Customers may collect their order from the relevant port, provided they have suitable transport and valid identification. If required, we can also arrange final delivery from the port to your address at an additional cost.
6. Product Classification and Purchaser Responsibility
Yurts and geo domes supplied by Yurt in the Dirt are sold as temporary fabric structures/tents intended for alternative accommodation, recreational, and ancillary use.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, our products are not certified to Australian or New Zealand building codes and do not have certified wind, cyclone, or bushfire ratings.
Assessing council requirements, permits, engineering, site suitability, weather exposure, and intended use is solely the responsibility of the purchaser.
Due to the nature of fabric structures, our products may be susceptible to damage from severe weather events including high winds, storms, fire, flooding, falling trees or branches, and other environmental conditions. These structures are not intended to be relied upon as shelter during severe weather events or natural disasters.
By purchasing from Yurt in the Dirt, the purchaser acknowledges and accepts the inherent risks associated with temporary fabric structures and agrees to use the product at their own risk.
7. Returns and Refunds
Due to the customised nature of our products and the significant shipping costs involved, we do not offer refunds for change of mind once an order has entered production or has been shipped.
If your product arrives faulty or damaged, please contact us as soon as possible. We will assess the issue and, where required, provide a repair, replacement, or other remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Proof of purchase is required for all return, refund, and warranty-related claims.
8. Warranty
8.1 Warranty Coverage
We offer a 3-year warranty on all Yurt and Dome components we supply, including the frame, cover, insulation, windows, solar fans, and all other components. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
8.2 Inspection Upon Delivery
When your crate arrives, inspect it as soon as possible. Check for visible damage, verify all components are present, and check for any obvious defects. If you find any issues, contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and a description.
8.3 Storage
Store your crates in a dry, undercover location (shed, garage, or covered area). Keep them protected from moisture, dampness, and extreme temperatures until you're ready to assemble. Proper storage prevents mould and degradation.
8.4 What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not cover general wear and tear, damage from extreme weather events, modifications or repairs by third parties, improper setup or misuse, damage from improper storage or environmental conditions (including mould and moisture damage), or damage from failure to follow setup instructions.
8.5 Making a Warranty Claim
To claim under warranty, provide proof of purchase, photos of the defect, and a description of the issue. We'll repair or replace defective parts or offer an equivalent solution. Claims must be reported within 14 days of delivery for apparent defects, or within a reasonable time for defects that become apparent later.
8.6 Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits the consumer guarantees provided by Australian Consumer Law.
Conditions for Claims
- Claims must be initiated within 14 days of delivery for apparent defects, or within a reasonable time for defects that become apparent later.
- The product must not have been installed, altered, or misused
- You are responsible for storing the crates in dry, undercover conditions. We are not liable for mould, moisture damage, or environmental degradation resulting from improper storage
