Popularised in the 1960’s by Buckminster Fuller, Geo Domes are one of the lightest and strongest structures known to man. Our domes are designed for Aussie conditions and are perfect for short or long-term accommodation, yoga studio’s, healing spaces and much more

All of our Geo Domes come fully equipped with premium inclusions ready for short or long-term accommodation:
- Geo-Dome cover: Durable, waterproof, UV-resistant double coated PVC (850gsm) in your choice of colour. Ideal for harsh Australian conditions, designed to last 7 – 10 years before replacement.
- Frame structure: Hot-dip galvanised steel. This is a sturdy frame with high wind load capacity.
- Insulated Canvas interior lining: This is a premium lining in your choice of colour, easy to clean and durable. Backed with aluminium air cell insulation.
- Double glazed front door: Frosted glass door and aluminium frame.
- Skylight: For natural light and a view of the night sky. (you can shade the skylight with the insulated canvas if desired in summer)
- Large panoramic window: This is the clear section covering approximately 1/3 of the dome.
- Round glass windows x 2: 600mm glass windows which open fully to allow fresh air into your space. Extra windows optional.
- Solar ventilation fan: Circulates air through the interior and draws hot air out, does not require separate power.
- Tailored window curtains: Specially designed curtain in your choice of colour to fit your panoramic window.
- Smart lock keypad: Convenient way to lock your Geo-Dome and allow keyless entry for guests. (standard lock also available)
- Cover tensioning system: For a tight fit and a high-quality installation.
- Hardware and fixings: To install and secure your Geo-Dome onto a solid base. (base not included however speak to us about our decking plans and design advice)
- Shipping and handling: Shipping to your nearest port is included (Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane) however final delivery will be an additional cost (we will arrange on your behalf) or you may collect from the port warehouse with a suitable trailer or own courier. We also service Tasmania but the destination port is Melbourne. International orders can also be arranged.
Building
Trust,
one Dome at a time
Sub-frame and flooring: these are not included and will need to be arranged separately. Get in touch to request our decking plans. Alternatively you could pour a circular concrete pad or other raised surface.
Temporary installation: Geo Domes can also be ideal for temporary or informal installations such as events, pop-up stalls, showroom etc. If you plan on this type of installation, we have a ground anchor kit to allow you to fix on a grass surface or similar.
Difficulty: Your Geo Dome is fairly simple to build and can usually be done in a few short days with simple tools, depending on how handy you are. The most difficult part is placing the outer cover over the frame. The outer cover is heavy and will need 3 – 4 people to lift for the larger diameter sizes. You will need a large A-frame ladder or a scaffold to reach up to dome height.
A rewarding experience: The joy of building your Geo Dome is reminiscent of the old homesteading “barn raising party” – Get some friends and family around to help and create memories that will last a lifetime!

Hey it`s Ryan at Yurt in the Dirt with another one of our clients` awesome builds!
This one is right in the heart of Sydney, but you`d never pick it. Epic views and a really tranquil space to get to work and make the daily grind feel more like a glide.
Planning:
Anthony reached out to see whether a Yurt might work as a home office, so we shared some ideas, and a few conversations later we had a plan for the right size and layout, as well as a decking build which had to extend out over a retaining wall.
DIY Decking:
Anthony constructed his own decking with the help of some family. He used our decking plans for reference but tweaked them to work with the lay of the land.
Interior:
Inside the 5m Yurt is a floor space of 20sqm which is plenty for a home office and some space to hang out in the bean bags to admire the amazing view.
Cost Breakdown:
